When you are diagnosed with cancer, it’s like a hitting a brick wall with no brakes. I felkt sick and very nearly feinted when it happened to me. It’s probably even worse for your loved ones as they usually feel they need to put on a brave face and so they bottle their feelings. Usually you will be given all the facts and possible treatments, and sometimes advised as to the best possible course of action. But, in the end it’s your decision what kind of treatment you have. Of course, the success rate is vitally important. But there are other things to consider. Side effects for instance, length of treatment, how invasive the treatment is, and the long-term effects any operations or medications may have on your body or even your personality.
