The National Gay Pilots Association (NGPA) sponsors gay scholarships which are weird in the sense you don’t have to be gay to receive them. You don’t have to be an american citizen either to qualify. One of the requirements of these gay college scholarships is that you support the gay community through the LGBT (lesbians, gay, bi-sexual individuals, and transgender people). This is very important to the NGPA and if you have not offered this support your chances my be slim unless you start now and build up your resume to show it. This is a wonderfull career choice and it may be worth it if you can support the LGBT. Starting salarys are one of the highest and there are many fringe benefits to a pilots career. Weird scholarships or not, it will pay the bills for college.
