I didn’t complete my Bachelor’s degree until I was 32 years old, a full 10 years after I sat in my very first college class. Like most high school graduates, I went off to college at the tender age of 18. It didn’t take long for me to see that I simply did not yet possess the maturity required to succeed on my own, so I dropped out after only one semester. After that, I started working full-time, realized that I would never have a rewarding career without a degree, and began taking classes at my local community college. I then checked into distance learning programs, found one that would accept all my transfer credits, and finally earned my Bachelor’s in Business Administration.

Children With Special Needs

When you think of special needs, you may think of children that have severe emotional, mental, or physical conditions. These children need a lot of attention and care, but they are not the only ones that are in need of special attention. Some children with special needs have less visible and less debilitating problems. These children can sometimes fall through the cracks at school because teachers and even parents assume that the children just have behavior problems rather than a real issue that may delay learning and probably emotional growth. There is help out there for all children that have special needs or delays.If your child is not doing well in school, but you are pretty sure that they should be doing better, you should think about other issues before you decide that your child is slacking or that you have a behavioral problem on your hands.

MS scholarships from The National MS Society Multiple Sclerosis Scholarship pay up to $3,000 per individual. Application are done online which makes it very convenient for those with MS. Applications must be done between Oct 1 till Jan 15 each year. You can even apply if your parent only has MS and not the applicant only. The truely remarkable aspect about the MS scholarship is that there have been a wide variety of donors to this fund. Donors include people with MS and other individuals affected by MS, corporate donors, foundations, individual National MS Society chapters, and staff and volunteers of the National MS Society. Many different people and organizations support the multiple sclerosis scholarship from The National MS Society. They receive a lot of support for this cause and understandably so!

NGPA Gay Scholarships are Weird

The National Gay Pilots Association (NGPA) sponsors gay scholarships which are weird in the sense you don’t have to be gay to receive them. You don’t have to be an american citizen either to qualify. One of the requirements of these gay college scholarships is that you support the gay community through the LGBT (lesbians, gay, bi-sexual individuals, and transgender people). This is very important to the NGPA and if you have not offered this support your chances my be slim unless you start now and build up your resume to show it. This is a wonderfull career choice and it may be worth it if you can support the LGBT. Starting salarys are one of the highest and there are many fringe benefits to a pilots career. Weird scholarships or not, it will pay the bills for college.

Look into the Federal Pell Grant before No Cosigner Student Loans

Many college bound students who are looking into financing to attend school should not neccessaryly rush out and secure student loans. Federal Grants should be investigated first before all else. Why? For example; the Federal Pell Grant offered to students can pay all four years of school and when you graduate there are no student loans waiting for you to pay off. Grants don’t have to be paid back. The Pell grant for instance would make a nice substitute for a no cosigner student loan. Normally, students need no cosigner loans because their credit is very bad and they are looking for someone to cosign on the student loan with them. If you receive The Federal Pell Grant there is no need for much of a student loan.

Alternatives to Student Loans with no Cosigner

There are alternative student loans to a no cosigner loan that should be explored by all who wish to attend college and looking for ways to pay for it. All federal grants should be explored such as the FSEOG, Pell Grant, TEACH, SMART and others too which have put many through college without ever having to be paid back. The reason is that federal grants never have to be paid back. Most are need based; in other words there has to be financial need involved when applying for them. Every student must fill out the FAFSA to see what they qualify for in terms of Federal Grants & student loans. This is how it’s done for federal grants - filling out the FAFSA determines eligibility for all federal grants & student loans no cosigner included on the note.
