Homeopathy is a less known and little understood field of alternative tinnitus treatments. It came about in Germany in the 1700’s. A doctor was experimenting with the theory of “like cures like.” This idea can be seen today in immunizations where a dose of the offending germ defends the body against full blown illness caused by the same type of germ. The doctor found that certain substances would cause symptoms of an illness in a healthy person. The same substances would cause relief of those same symptoms in an ill person. This is the basis of, among other uses, an alternative tinnitus treatment.
